NEPSE Slips 6.51 Points Despite Slight Improvement in Market Turnover
NEPSE closed 6.51 points lower at 2,724.39 on Tuesday despite a slight rise in daily turnover to Rs. 3.08 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) ended Tuesday’s trading session on a negative note, declining by 6.51 points or 0.23 percent to close at 2,724.39.
The benchmark index opened at 2,726.71 and climbed to an intraday high of 2,734.73 before falling to the day’s low of 2,719.27. Although the market closed in the red, daily turnover showed a slight improvement compared to the previous trading session.
According to NEPSE data, total turnover reached Rs. 3.08 Arba during the day. A total of 78.16 lakh shares of 346 listed companies were traded through 45,519 transactions.
The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 46.46 Kharba, while float market capitalization remained at Rs. 15.53 Kharba.
Among the actively traded companies, City Hotel Limited (CITY) recorded the highest turnover of the session with transactions worth Rs. 23.53 crore. The company’s share price closed at Rs. 368.
Investors remain cautious as the market continues to fluctuate within a narrow range, with traders closely watching banking liquidity, interest rates, and quarterly earnings reports.
