33 Officials from 7 Bodies Under Tourism Ministry Relieved of Duties

A total of 33 officials from seven organizations under Nepal’s Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation have been removed following a new government ordinance.

33 Officials from 7 Bodies Under Tourism Ministry Relieved of Duties

A total of 33 officials from seven bodies under the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation have been relieved of their positions following the implementation of a government ordinance related to public office holders.

According to the ministry, the ordinance came into effect on Baisakh 19, leading to the automatic removal of executive directors, chairpersons, and board members.

Those removed include multiple officials from the Pashupati Area Development Trust, including Member Secretary Prakash Mani Sharma and Treasurer Shreedhar Sapkota, along with several board members.

From Nepal Airlines Corporation, Executive Directors Amrit Man Shrestha and Ram Prasad Khatiwada have been relieved. Similarly, Cultural Corporation Chairperson Chandra Kumar Rai and member Pooja Shrestha have also been removed.

At the Lumbini Development Trust, Chairperson Lharkyal Lama, Treasurer Dhundiraj Bhattarai, Member Secretary Dipak Shrestha, and seven other members have been relieved.

From the Nepal Tourism Board, CEO Deepak Raj Joshi and board members Narendra Kumar Dev, Kumar Mani Thapaliya, Rishi Ram Bhandari, Rajendra Bahadur Lama, and Ram Prasad Sapkota have been removed.

Additionally, members Rabindra Silwal and Bhim Prasad Pant from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal have also been relieved. Officials from the Greater Janakpur Area Development Council, including the Executive Director, have also been removed under the ordinance.
