The Asset Investigation Commission has temporarily suspended the collection and verification of asset declarations from public officials following an interim order issued by the Supreme Court on Asar 31. The commission stated that all related activities will remain on hold until the court reaches a final decision on the pending writ petition.

Before the suspension, the commission had been collecting asset declarations from political office bearers and public employees, excluding former judges, former constitutional office holders, and retired Nepal Army officials. Although the deadline for submitting asset details had been set for today, the process has now been halted in compliance with the Supreme Court's directive.
