Bagmati Province Introduces Online Bluebook Renewal After Vehicle Tax Payment
Vehicle owners in Bagmati Province will no longer need to visit transport offices for physical bluebook renewal after paying vehicle tax online.

Vehicle owners in Bagmati Province will soon be able to renew their vehicle registration certificates (bluebooks) without visiting transport offices after paying vehicle tax online.
The provision has been introduced through the Economic Bill 2083, approved by the provincial government to simplify transport-related public services.
Under the new system, the Ministry responsible for transport in Bagmati Province has integrated multiple electronic payment platforms into its online portal.
Once the vehicle tax payment is verified in the Vehicle Registration System (VRS) and an electronic payment receipt is generated, physical renewal of the vehicle registration certificate (bluebook) will no longer be required.
The provincial government expects the digital system to reduce paperwork, improve service delivery, and eliminate the need for vehicle owners to spend hours waiting in queues at transport management offices.
The initiative is part of Bagmati Province's broader effort to digitize public services and make government transactions faster, more transparent, and more convenient for citizens.
