The Bhaktapur Transport Management Office has issued 90,000 driving licenses over the past three months, contributing Rs 198.2 million in revenue to the government treasury.
According to Office Chief Prabin Shrestha, the office printed 238,000 driving licenses during the same period. Of those, 90,000 licenses have already been distributed to applicants, while the remaining licenses are expected to be issued in phases.
The office currently distributes between 1,000 and 1,800 driving licenses every day, reflecting continued efforts to improve public service delivery and reduce the backlog of pending licenses.
Bhaktapur remains one of Nepal's busiest transport offices for driving license services. Improvements in license printing and distribution have helped streamline the process and gradually reduce waiting times for applicants.
