Bhat-Bhateni Bhaktapur Store to Operate 24 Hours From Tomorrow
Bhat-Bhateni's Bhaktapur store will begin operating 24 hours a day from Bhadra 1 as part of the company's plan to adopt an international round-the-clock retail model.
Bhat-Bhateni Supermarket's Bhaktapur store is set to operate 24 hours a day from tomorrow, Bhadra 1.
The company is launching the round-the-clock service in Bhaktapur as a pilot project under its plan to adopt an international model of 24-hour supermarket operations.
According to Bhat-Bhateni Chairman and Managing Director Min Bahadur Gurung, the company decided to launch regular 24-hour operations after a successful overnight trial conducted on Wednesday.
The Bhaktapur store currently operates from 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM. Under the new arrangement, customers will be able to shop at the store throughout the day and night.
The company plans to use the nighttime shift for restocking products, arranging merchandise and completing other operational tasks. This is expected to make daytime shopping more convenient and organized for customers.
Employees working during the night shift will receive 25 percent additional pay on top of their regular salary. The company will also provide tea and snacks for employees working overnight.
If the Bhaktapur pilot project proves successful, Bhat-Bhateni plans to gradually extend 24-hour operations to other stores across Kathmandu Valley and other parts of Nepal.
