Bonus Shares of Super Mai Hydropower, Neco Insurance, and NMB Bank Listed on NEPSE

Three listed companies have officially listed their bonus shares on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), increasing the total number of tradable shares available to investors following the approval of their annual dividend distributions.

Super Mai Hydropower Limited (SMH) has listed 1.07 million (10,70,000) bonus shares after shareholders approved a 21.11% dividend for the fiscal year 2081/82 during the company's 11th Annual General Meeting held on Falgun 17, 2082. The approved dividend included 20% bonus shares worth more than Rs. 10.70 crore and 1.11% cash dividend, including tax, worth approximately Rs. 59.27 lakh. Following the listing, the company's latest traded price (LTP) stood at Rs. 545.

Similarly, Neco Insurance Limited (NIL) has listed 807,460 bonus shares on NEPSE. The company's 30th AGM, held on Falgun 11, 2082, approved a 15.7894% dividend, comprising 3% bonus shares and 12.7894% cash dividend allocated for tax purposes. The company's shares were trading at Rs. 620 following the listing.

Meanwhile, NMB Bank Limited (NMB) has listed 9.18 million (91,83,352.98) bonus shares after its shareholders approved a 10% dividend during the bank's 30th AGM held on Poush 24, 2082. The dividend consisted of 5% bonus shares worth approximately Rs. 91.83 crore and 5% cash dividend, including tax, of an equal amount. As of the latest market update, NMB Bank's shares were trading at Rs. 237.90.

The listing of bonus shares enables eligible shareholders to receive their allotted shares through the secondary market while increasing the companies' paid-up capital. Bonus share listings are a routine post-dividend process that expands the number of outstanding shares without requiring additional investment from shareholders.
