Prime Minister Balen Shah has called a Cabinet meeting. According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the meeting will be held today at 3:30 PM at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar.

The meeting is expected to appoint a new chairperson of the Securities Board of Nepal (Securities Board of Nepal). The selection committee under the Ministry of Finance has already shortlisted four candidates from 47 applicants.

The shortlisted candidates include Dr. Nawaraj Adhikari, Binay Dev Acharya, Mukunda Kumar Kshetri, and Dr. Gopal Prasad Bhatt.

The SEBON chairmanship has remained vacant for a long time, and the government is now preparing to finalize the appointment. The decision is being closely watched by the capital market.
