Chitwan National Park has distributed Rs 12.998 million in relief compensation to people affected by wildlife-related damages during the last fiscal year. The compensation covered human casualties, livestock losses, crop damage, damaged houses, stored grains, and poultry losses. Families of five people who lost their lives in wildlife attacks received a total of Rs 5 million, while financial assistance was also provided for the treatment of seriously and mildly injured victims.

According to Information Officer Avinash Thapa Magar, compensation was also provided for damage to livestock, agricultural crops, stored grains, houses, sheds, and poultry. The park has continued its annual relief program to support communities living in buffer zone areas who suffer losses caused by wild animals.
