Citizen Investment Trust’s Profit Rises 7.72%

Citizen Investment Trust (CIT) reported a net profit of Rs. 1.35 billion in fiscal year 2082/83, marking a 7.72% increase from the previous fiscal year.

The fund’s total income increased 7.28% to Rs. 2.25 billion during the review period. Service fees and commission income contributed Rs. 1.79 billion, while interest income stood at Rs. 36.47 crore.

CIT’s net fund balance grew to Rs. 336 billion, while total investments across various sectors reached Rs. 327 billion.

The fund reported EPS of Rs. 19.84 and net worth per share of Rs. 152.47.

However, its return on investment weakened during the year. Return on investment fell to 4.27% from 5.68% in the previous fiscal year, indicating that the growth in profit did not translate into stronger investment returns.
