Cockroach Janata Party” Announces Protest in New Delhi Demanding Education Minister’s Resignation

A social media-driven group known as the “Cockroach Janata Party” has announced plans to stage a protest in India’s capital, New Delhi.

The party has declared that it will gather at Jantar Mantar on Saturday to demand the resignation of India’s Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, calling for a peaceful demonstration. The group has also appealed through social media platform X, urging youth across the country to join the movement.

As part of its preparations, the group held its first press conference on Wednesday, where it announced three spokespersons.

Party founder Abhijit Dipke, social activist Sonam Wangchuk, and other members are expected to assemble in Delhi on Saturday and seek official permission for the protest.

The group stated that the agitation is centered around alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG examination, cancellation controversies, and issues related to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 online evaluation system.

They argued that Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan should take moral and administrative responsibility for these controversies and step down from his position.

Party spokespersons also accused the government of failing to address recurring examination irregularities, claiming that merely transferring CBSE officials is an attempt to “cover up” the issue rather than solve it.
