Nepal Reinsurance Company Limited has appointed Damodar Bhandari as its acting Chief Executive Officer following a board of directors meeting held today. The decision takes effect immediately.

Bhandari, who previously served as Assistant Chief Executive Officer of the company, has now assumed the top executive role on an interim basis.

Prior to this appointment, he also worked at the Nepal Insurance Authority (Nepal Insurance Authority), where he gained experience in insurance regulation, life insurance product pricing, risk-based pricing, and risk management.

Bhandari has previously served as acting CEO of Nepal Reinsurance Company as well, when he was appointed by the board in late 2023 after the tenure of former CEO Shankar Kumar Rayamajhi ended.

The company expects that his leadership will help maintain institutional stability, strengthen risk management practices, and support continued business growth.
