Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City Unveils NPR 2.64 Billion Budget for FY 2083/84
Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City has announced a budget of NPR 2.64 billion for the fiscal year 2083/84.

Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City has presented a budget of NPR 2.6464 billion for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84. The budget was unveiled by Deputy Mayor Kandakala Kumari Rana during the 15th municipal assembly session.
According to the budget statement, NPR 1.4363 billion has been allocated for recurrent expenditures, while NPR 1.2376 billion has been earmarked for capital expenditures.
The city expects to generate NPR 551 million from internal revenue, NPR 604.5 million through revenue sharing, and NPR 1.0679 billion from fiscal transfers provided by the federal government. Additionally, NPR 142.2 million is expected from the Sudurpashchim Provincial Government, while NPR 423 million will come from savings carried over from the current fiscal year.
Officials reported that out of the current fiscal year's budget of NPR 2.5604 billion, the city had received NPR 1.7749 billion and spent NPR 1.1994 billion by mid-May.
The municipality has prioritized infrastructure projects, education, healthcare services, employment creation, and social welfare initiatives in the upcoming fiscal year. It also plans to strengthen ward-level health clinics, implement flagship municipal projects, establish a project bank, and continue skill development and employment fair programs aimed at promoting youth self-employment.
