Exports through Birgunj Customs Office have crossed Rs. 79.54 billion in the first nine months of the current fiscal year, marking a significant increase compared to Rs. 69.35 billion recorded during the same period last year.

This reflects a growth of around Rs. 10.19 billion, equivalent to a 15% increase in exports.

A major contributor to this growth has been refined soybean oil exports, which alone accounted for Rs. 43.61 billion during the review period, up from Rs. 36.62 billion last year.

Similarly, fruit juice exports reached Rs. 5.84 billion, while refined palm oil exports saw a sharp rise to Rs. 5.24 billion compared to just Rs. 590 million in the previous year.

However, sunflower oil exports declined to Rs. 5.05 billion from Rs. 6.61 billion last year.

Exports of garments and textiles also showed steady performance, with clothing exports worth Rs. 2.69 billion and synthetic yarn exports reaching Rs. 1.94 billion.
