FIFA Suspends ANFA Indefinitely, Nepal Football Faces International Isolation
FIFA has suspended the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) until further notice.

FIFA has suspended the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) until further notice. The decision was taken by the FIFA Council Bureau on Wednesday in accordance with Article 14 of the FIFA Statutes.
As a result of the suspension, ANFA has lost all membership rights granted under FIFA regulations. During the suspension period, Nepal’s national football teams, age-group teams, and domestic clubs will not be eligible to participate in any international competitions.
The suspension also prevents ANFA, its affiliated member associations, and officials from participating in development programs, training courses, and educational activities organized by FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
In addition, financial and technical assistance provided by FIFA and AFC to Nepalese football will be affected, potentially impacting football development projects and organizational activities across the country.
FIFA stated that the suspension could be lifted at any time before the next FIFA Congress if the required conditions are met and the FIFA Council Bureau or FIFA Council determines that the situation has been adequately resolved.
