Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle Begins Budget Implementation Discussions with Government Secretaries
Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has started discussions with key ministry secretaries to ensure effective implementation of the fiscal year 2083/84 budget.

Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has started consultations with government ministries to prepare for the effective implementation of the fiscal year 2083/84 budget.
The discussion is being held at the Ministry of Finance’s Subarna Hall under the leadership of Finance Minister Wagle, with participation from secretaries and representatives of key ministries responsible for executing budget programs.
The meeting includes participation from National Planning Commission Vice Chairman Dr. Gunakar Bhatta, Finance Secretary Dr. Ghanshyam Upadhyaya, along with officials from infrastructure, industry and commerce, agriculture, health, education, foreign affairs, culture, tourism and civil aviation, labour, women and children, home affairs, and defense ministries.
The discussions are focused on making budget implementation more result-oriented, improving coordination among ministries, and addressing challenges that may arise during execution.
Minister Wagle has emphasized that effective budget execution and timely delivery of results are more important than merely allocating resources. He has urged ministries to prepare clear implementation plans and accelerate budget execution.
During the meeting, ministry secretaries are expected to present their respective priorities, ongoing project status, budget implementation progress, and future action plans.
The government has prioritized inter-ministerial coordination to ensure a smoother and more effective implementation process as the new fiscal year begins.
