A five-star hotel project worth NPR 2 billion has been launched near Janakpur, aiming to boost tourism and create 150 jobs.

A five-star hotel is set to be constructed near Janakpur, the capital of Madhesh Province, with an estimated investment of NPR 2 billion.
The project is being developed under the “Mithila Hospitality” brand by Rameshwar Sah, former Vice President of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), who currently operates Royal Tulip Resort in Chitwan.
The foundation stone of the project was jointly laid by Madhesh Province Chief Minister Krishna Prasad Yadav, Member of Parliament Manish Jha, and industrialist Upendra Mahato.
The hotel will be built in Laxminiya Rural Municipality–1, near the six-lane road and close to Bhatbhateni Supermarket, covering an area of approximately 1.25 bigha. The total built-up area is expected to be around 120,000 square feet.
The project will include 124 rooms, including 8 suite rooms, along with modern amenities such as a casino, banquet hall, swimming pool, spa, health club, tennis court, and EV charging station.
The construction is targeted to be completed within three years. Once operational, the hotel is expected to create around 150 direct jobs and contribute significantly to tourism and economic growth in the region.
