The Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security has launched a new online complaint system to make it easier for victims of foreign employment fraud to seek legal action without visiting government offices.

Under the new system, complaints can be submitted through the "Ujuri DOFE Government Nepal" online portal, enabling victims to file complaints, upload supporting documents, and monitor the progress of their cases from home.

The portal, which became fully operational on Shrawan 1, aims to improve access to justice for workers who have been deceived by fraudulent foreign employment offers.

During a visit to the Department of Foreign Employment, Labour Minister Ramji Yadav said the digital platform was introduced to provide faster and more accessible services for victims while helping authorities take legal action against those involved in foreign employment scams.

According to the ministry, applicants can use a mobile phone or computer to submit complaints along with the required evidence. Once the complaint is registered, the department reviews the submission and begins the formal registration process.

After registration, complainants receive an SMS and email notification containing a tracking code, allowing them to check the status and progress of their complaint online at any time.

The Department of Foreign Employment reported that 14 complaints were registered within the first four days after the system became fully operational. The department is also conducting awareness and training activities to encourage wider use of the digital complaint platform.

The government believes the new online system will improve transparency, efficiency, and accessibility, while reducing the need for victims to travel to Kathmandu to seek justice in foreign employment fraud cases.
