Former Prime Minister Sushila Karki is set to publish her new literary work titled ‘Mitti and The Wild Cat’. The book was written during one of the most challenging periods while she was leading the interim government.
Following the Gen-Z movement that led to the ousting of the then government, Karki led the interim administration during a time of national uncertainty. Despite the pressure, she continued her creative work, focusing on children’s psychology and imagination.
The former Chief Justice of Nepal dedicated this book to her grandchildren. The story carries a message of love, hope, and positivity, aiming to inspire young readers.
Through interactions between birds and animals, the novel conveys themes of empathy, cooperation, love, and interdependence. The narrative is described as engaging, filled with curiosity and entertainment.
Previously, Karki has published two literary works, ‘Nyaya’ (a memoir) and ‘Kara’ (a novel) in Nepali. She is also known for her writings on gender equality and feminism.
Karki has described the book as a gift for children growing up in an era of uncertainty and confusion around the world.
