Fuel Prices Rise Again in Nepal: Diesel, Kerosene Up by Rs 30 per Liter

Nepal Oil Corporation has increased the prices of petroleum products, effective from Wednesday midnight.

According to the revised rates, the price of diesel and kerosene has been increased by Rs. 30 per liter, while domestic aviation fuel has gone up by Rs. 5 per liter.

With the new adjustment, diesel and kerosene now cost Rs. 237 per liter, and aviation fuel is priced at Rs. 256 per liter.

The corporation stated that the price hike was necessary due to rising international fuel prices and the latest pricing structure received from Indian Oil Corporation.

Despite the adjustment, the corporation claims it is still operating at a loss. It reports a loss of Rs. 2.32 per liter on petrol, Rs. 87.99 on diesel, Rs. 36.70 on kerosene, and Rs. 331.25 per LPG cylinder, citing a gap between cost price and selling price.
