Gold and silver prices witnessed a modest decline in Nepal's local market on Wednesday, according to the latest price list published by the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.

The price of fine gold dropped by Rs. 1,200 per tola, bringing the trading price down to Rs. 297,300 per tola. On Tuesday, the precious metal was traded at Rs. 298,500 per tola.

Similarly, silver prices also recorded a slight decrease. Silver is currently being traded at Rs. 4,980 per tola, down by Rs. 10 from Tuesday’s rate of Rs. 4,990 per tola.

International precious metals markets also experienced price fluctuations. Reports indicate that gold was trading at approximately USD 4,349 per ounce on Wednesday, while silver was trading at around USD 70 per ounce.

Market analysts note that global economic developments, movements in the US dollar, inflation expectations, and geopolitical uncertainties continue to influence precious metal prices worldwide. As a result, both domestic and international gold and silver markets are expected to remain volatile in the coming days.
