The price of gold in Nepal declined sharply on Sunday, extending its recent losing streak in the domestic bullion market.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the price of hallmark gold fell by Rs. 2,800 per tola, bringing the new rate to Rs. 285,200 per tola, down from Rs. 288,000 recorded on the previous trading day.

Silver prices also moved lower, decreasing by Rs. 100 per tola to Rs. 4,375 per tola, compared to Rs. 4,475 on the previous day.

The continued decline in precious metal prices follows recent fluctuations in international bullion markets, with both gold and silver witnessing weaker price trends globally
