Gold Price Jumps Rs. 5,000 Per Tola in Nepal, Silver Also Advances

Gold prices in the Nepali market recorded a sharp increase on Monday, with the price of fine gold rising by Rs. 5,000 per tola compared to the previous trading day.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the price of hallmark gold has been fixed at Rs. 298,200 per tola. On Sunday, the same gold was traded at Rs. 293,200 per tola.

The latest increase comes after fluctuations in international precious metal markets. Earlier, on Jestha 26, gold prices had reached one of their highest levels in Nepal, touching Rs. 301,900 per tola.

Silver prices also moved upward on Monday. The price of silver increased by Rs. 120 per tola, reaching Rs. 5,015 compared to Rs. 4,895 on the previous day.

In the international market, gold was trading at around USD 4,326 per ounce, while silver was priced at approximately USD 70 per ounce. Rising global precious metal prices have continued to influence the domestic market.

Market analysts suggest that ongoing global economic uncertainty, inflation concerns, and strong demand for safe-haven assets are supporting higher gold and silver prices worldwide.
