Gold prices in the local market fell significantly by Rs. 1,800 per tola to Rs. 298,700, while silver also declined, reflecting a broader downward trend in precious metals.

Gold Prices Drop Sharply by Rs. 1,800 per Tola; Silver Also Decline

Gold prices in the domestic market witnessed a notable decline on the latest trading day. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the price of hallmark gold dropped by Rs. 1,800 per tola, settling at Rs. 298,700, down from Rs. 300,500 recorded in the previous session.

Similarly, Tejabi gold also saw a comparable decrease of Rs. 1,800 per tola, bringing its price down to Rs. 298,000 from Rs. 299,800 a day earlier.

Silver prices followed the same downward trend. The price of silver declined by Rs. 110 per tola, reaching Rs. 5,020 compared to Rs. 5,130 in the previous trading day.

The decline in both gold and silver prices reflects fluctuations in the local and international bullion markets, with investors closely monitoring global price movements and currency dynamics.
