Gold, Silver Retreat from Record Highs in Nepal

Gold and silver prices in Nepal fell on Thursday, retreating from record highs after several days of sharp gains, according to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Federation.

The price of fine gold declined by Rs 600 per tola to Rs 267,500. The metal had touched an all-time high of Rs 268,100 per tola in the previous session, following a series of daily record-breaking advances.

Silver prices also edged lower during the session. The metal slipped by Rs 20 per tola to trade at Rs 4,400, down from the previous record level of Rs 4,420 per tola.

Market participants said the pullback reflects short-term profit-taking after the recent rally, while broader price trends continue to be influenced by movements in global precious metals markets and domestic demand conditions.
