Government Allocates Rs 3.18 Crore for Equipment, Furniture, and Security Upgrades at Prime Minister's Residence
The Government of Nepal has allocated Rs 3.18 crore in the upcoming fiscal year's budget for purchasing equipment, furniture, and enhancing security infrastructure at the Prime Minister's official residence.

The Government of Nepal has allocated a total of Rs 3.18 crore in the upcoming fiscal year's budget for the purchase of equipment, furniture, and security infrastructure upgrades at the Prime Minister's official residence.
Through the Federal Secretariat Construction and Management Office under the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development, Rs 1.40 crore has been earmarked for the procurement of machinery and electrical appliances, including washing machines, refrigerators, televisions, computers, printers, laptops, and geysers.
In addition, Rs 78.20 lakh has been allocated for furniture and furnishing materials required at the Prime Minister's residence.
To strengthen security measures, the government plans to spend Rs 1 crore on installing a vehicle scanner and other security equipment at the main entrance of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.
As a result, the total planned expenditure on equipment, furniture, and security infrastructure for the Prime Minister's residence alone amounts to Rs 3.18 crore.
Furthermore, Rs 1 crore has been allocated for electrical maintenance works at the residences and quarters of the President, Vice President, Prime Minister, Chief Justice, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chairperson of the National Assembly, and ministerial quarters.
The government has also set aside Rs 80 lakh for purchasing equipment such as televisions, refrigerators, computers, printers, laptops, washing machines, photocopy machines, geysers, and CCTV cameras for the official residences of the President and Vice President.
