Government Collects Rs. 183.20 Billion Revenue in First Two Months of FY 2083/84
The Government of Nepal collected Rs. 183.20 billion in total revenue by September 16, achieving 11.59% of its annual revenue target for FY 2083/84.

The Government of Nepal collected Rs. 183.20 billion in total revenue as of September 16, 2026, equivalent to 11.59% of its annual revenue target of Rs. 1.58 trillion, according to the Financial Comptroller General Office.
Of the total revenue, tax revenue stood at Rs. 172.42 billion, representing 12.29% of the annual tax revenue target of Rs. 1.40 trillion.
The government also received Rs. 5.53 billion in grants, achieving 8.96% of the annual grant target of Rs. 61.75 billion.
Meanwhile, total government expenditure reached Rs. 199 billion, or 9.41% of the annual expenditure target of Rs. 2.12 trillion.
Capital expenditure remained relatively low at Rs. 7.66 billion, representing just 1.78% of the Rs. 431.11 billion allocated for capital spending in FY 2083/84.
On the financing side, the government mobilized Rs. 70.14 billion, equivalent to 16.59% of its annual financing target of Rs. 422.65 billion.
