Government Orders Immediate Recall of Dabur Nepal Honey After Quality Failure

The Government of Nepal’s Department of Food Technology and Quality Control has identified quality issues in a honey sample collected during a market inspection.

The 500-gram honey product manufactured by Dabur Nepal, specifically batch number NB00477, failed to meet required quality standards during laboratory testing, according to the department.

Following the findings, authorities have ordered an immediate recall of all products from the affected batch and instructed that the sale and distribution of this honey be stopped under Section 38(2) of the Food Hygiene and Quality Act, 2081.

The department also confirmed that legal action has been initiated against the concerned manufacturing unit located in Jeetpur Simara, Bara.

Officials stated that the action was taken to ensure consumer safety and maintain food quality standards in the market. The notice was published on Jestha 5, 2083.
