The government has forwarded two ordinances related to the Constitutional Council and cooperative sector reforms to the President for approval.

The Government of Nepal has initiated the process to introduce two key ordinances. A Cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to recommend ordinances related to the Constitutional Council and the resolution of issues in the cooperative sector.
The ordinances have been sent to President Ramchandra Paudel for authentication. The government aims to clarify the roles, responsibilities, and authority of the Constitutional Council, as well as address ongoing problems in the cooperative sector.
Currently, the ordinances are under review by the President. They will come into effect only after official authentication.
Earlier, the government had recommended convening a parliamentary session on Baisakh 17, following a recommendation made on Baisakh 8. However, the session was later postponed after the government cited special reasons, and the President approved the postponement.
