Nepal Rastra Bank has promoted Govinda Prasad Nagila to the position of Executive Director following the retirement of Executive Director Naresh Shakya.

According to a notice issued by the central bank, Nagila has been assigned as the Executive Director of the Human Resource Management Department.

Alongside the promotion, Nepal Rastra Bank has made several changes to senior management responsibilities. Guru Prasad Poudel has been transferred from the Human Resource Management Department to the Governor’s Office.

Similarly, Muktinath Sapkota, who was serving at the Governor’s Office, has been reassigned to the Institutional Planning and Risk Management Department.

Rajan Bikram Thapa, previously working in the Institutional Planning and Risk Management Department, has been appointed as Executive Director of the Microfinance Institution Supervision Department, filling the vacancy created by Shakya’s retirement.

The reshuffle is expected to strengthen leadership and operational management across key departments of the central bank.
