Himalayan Reinsurance Limited Chairman Uday Kumar Niroula has resigned from his position, citing personal reasons.
Niroula submitted his resignation letter on Shrawan 29, 2083 BS (August 14, 2026). The resignation was formally accepted by the company’s 89th Board of Directors meeting held on Bhadra 10, 2083 BS (August 26, 2026).
With the board’s decision, Niroula stepped down from both his position as Chairman of the Board of Directors and his membership on the board. The resignation became effective from the date of the board meeting.
The company has not cited any reason beyond personal grounds for the resignation.
The change comes at the board level of one of Nepal’s reinsurance companies and will require the company to proceed with its next leadership arrangement following Niroula’s departure.
