Home Minister and Home Secretary Remove Black Window Tints from Official Vehicles
The government has removed black window tints from the official vehicles of the Home Minister and Home Secretary as part of a nationwide campaign against illegally tinted vehicle windows.

The black window tints installed on the official vehicles used by Home Minister Sudan Gurung and Home Secretary Raj Kumar Shrestha have been removed as part of the government's ongoing enforcement campaign.
According to Home Ministry spokesperson Anand Kafle, the move is intended to demonstrate equal enforcement of regulations governing black-tinted windows on both public and private vehicles. The official vehicles had previously been fitted with tinted windows for security reasons.
The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office launched a special campaign on Sunday targeting vehicles using unauthorized black window tints.
Traffic Police spokesperson SP Naresh Raj Subedi said that more than 200 vehicles have already been penalized under the campaign. He noted that black-tinted windows can be misused to facilitate criminal activities and that strict enforcement against vehicles violating the regulations will continue.
The government says the initiative aims to enhance transparency, strengthen road safety, and ensure that traffic laws are applied equally to all vehicles, including those used by high-ranking government officials.
