Home Ministry Transfers 18 Joint Secretaries, Appoints 12 New Chief District Officers

The Ministry of Home Affairs has transferred and assigned responsibilities to 18 Joint Secretaries, including 12 officials who have been appointed as Chief District Officers (CDOs) in different districts across the country.

According to the ministry, the transfers and postings were made based on decisions taken on Jestha 13 and Jestha 22. The reshuffle is aimed at strengthening administrative management and ensuring effective service delivery at both the central and district levels.

Among those transferred, 12 Joint Secretaries have been entrusted with the role of Chief District Officer, the government's highest administrative representative at the district level. CDOs play a key role in maintaining law and order, coordinating government agencies, managing disaster response, and implementing government policies within their respective districts.

The remaining Joint Secretaries have been assigned responsibilities within the Ministry of Home Affairs and its subordinate agencies. These appointments are expected to enhance coordination, governance, and administrative efficiency across the ministry's various departments.

The latest reshuffle comes as the government continues to make periodic adjustments in the civil administration to optimize resource deployment and improve public service delivery.
