House of Representatives to Begin Budget Discussion for Fiscal Year 2083/84 Today
The House of Representatives is set to begin general discussions on the budget for Fiscal Year 2083/84 during today's parliamentary meeting.

The meeting of Nepal's House of Representatives is scheduled to convene at 11:00 AM today, with lawmakers set to begin general discussions on the government's budget for Fiscal Year 2083/84.
According to the agenda published by the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle will present a proposal to initiate general discussions on the annual revenue and expenditure estimates for the upcoming fiscal year. The minister is also expected to respond to questions and concerns raised by lawmakers during the debate.
Under legislative business, Finance Minister Wagle will seek permission to table the Appropriation Bill, 2083 in the House. He will also request approval to introduce the Public Debt Raising Bill, 2083 and the Nepal Rastra Bank (Third Amendment) Bill, 2083.
The parliamentary session will also consider legislation and international agreements related to other ministries.
Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Khadka Raj Paudel is scheduled to propose that the Tourism Bill, 2082, which originated in the National Assembly, be sent to the relevant parliamentary committee for clause-by-clause discussion.
Similarly, Minister for Youth, Labour and Employment Ramji Yadav will table two important International Labour Organization (ILO) instruments: the Labour Inspection Convention, 1947 (No. 81), and the 2014 Protocol to the Forced Labour Convention, 1930 (Protocol No. 29).
The Parliament Secretariat stated that today's meeting is expected to play a significant role in advancing budget deliberations and key legislative agendas for the upcoming fiscal year.
