House of Representatives to Meet Today; 12 Agendas Including Money Laundering Bill and Economic Bill on Schedule

The House of Representatives is scheduled to convene today at 11:00 AM, with the Federal Parliament Secretariat preparing 12 agenda items for discussion and decision.

The meeting will begin with Speaker DP Aryal reading a communication received from the Office of the President regarding the authentication of recently approved legislation.

Representing the Prime Minister, Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation Mahabir Pun will table the 63rd Annual Report of the Auditor General before the House.

Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle is scheduled to introduce the Third Amendment Bill to the Anti-Money Laundering Prevention Act, 2083, aimed at strengthening Nepal's legal framework against financial crimes.

Likewise, Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration Pratibha Rawal will present the Cooperatives (First Amendment) Bill, 2083, while Minister for Health and Food Hygiene Nisha Mehta will table the Bill to Amend Certain Nepal Acts Related to Health Science Academies, 2083.

The House will also deliberate on amendments registered to the Economic Bill, 2083, before putting them to a vote. Following the discussion, Finance Minister Wagle will seek House approval to pass the bill.

In addition, amendments proposed to the National Debt Raising Bill, 2083 will also be presented for decision during the meeting.

Today's parliamentary session is expected to focus on several important legislative and financial matters that could have significant implications for Nepal's governance and economic policies.
