Human Rights Commission Recommends Investigation into 15 RSP MPs Over Gen-Z Movement Role
The National Human Rights Commission has recommended a detailed investigation into 15 lawmakers from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), citing their alleged role in the Gen-Z movement based on statements, social media activity, and intelligence reports.

The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has recommended the government conduct a detailed investigation into 15 members of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) over their alleged involvement in the Gen-Z movement.
In its report made public on Wednesday, the commission listed the lawmakers and suggested further scrutiny of their activities before, during, and after the protest movement. The recommendation is based on their public statements, social media activity, media reports, and information collected by the National Investigation Department.
The report includes MPs such as Ganesh Karki, Sulabh Kharal, Hari Dhakal, Babloo Gupta, Dr. Toshima Karki, Rajiv Khatri, KP Khanal, Deepak Bohora, Manish Jha, Jwala Sangroula, Purushottam Yadav, Sudhan Gurung, Ashika Tamang, Shiva Yadav, and Krishna Karki.
According to the report, the key question is whether their statements may have influenced or provoked protestors and whether their actions had any impact on public peace and order.
The NHRC stated that further investigation is required to determine whether these individuals had any involvement in incidents during the protest period, including alleged human and material damage. The commission has recommended legal action if they are found guilty after investigation.
The government is yet to officially respond to the recommendations.
