The Sunsari District Administration Office has imposed an indefinite curfew in five sensitive market areas following clashes between two groups.

According to Chief District Officer Basudev Ghimire, the curfew came into effect from 7:00 AM on Shrawan 11 and will remain in force until further notice in the market areas of Harinagar, Bhutaha, Kaptanganj, Ghuski, and Dewanganj.

The administration has specified the curfew boundaries for each location, covering key roads, schools, public offices, and nearby areas to maintain security and prevent further disturbances.

Authorities have urged residents to remain indoors throughout the curfew period except for essential services and to strictly follow instructions issued by security agencies.

The district administration said the curfew will remain in place until the security situation returns to normal.
