Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Indira Rana Magar has formally announced her candidacy for the party’s female Vice Chair position.

Speaking before the start of Tuesday’s closed-session proceedings, Rana Magar said her candidacy is driven by a vision of connecting different sections of the party and promoting greater organizational unity.

Under the party’s statute, RSP has three Vice Chair positions, with at least one reserved for a woman. Rana Magar has entered the race under this provision.

Following her announcement, she has begun reaching out to party representatives and delegates to seek support for her candidacy.

Rana Magar stated that she aims to contribute to inclusive leadership, stronger coordination, and effective representation within the party structure.

According to RSP’s election process, central committee members will be elected first, after which office bearers, including vice chairs, will be selected from among the elected central members.

The leadership election is expected to play a key role in shaping the party’s future organizational direction and internal governance.
