Infrastructure Ministry to Introduce Digital Contract Monitoring System for Project Management

The Ministry of Infrastructure Development is preparing to implement a Contract Monitoring System (CMS) to digitally monitor every stage of infrastructure projects, from project selection to final payment.

According to the ministry, the online system has been developed to make project implementation more transparent, efficient, and timely.

The ministry has already updated details of 1,173 contracts under its various agencies in the new digital platform. Information related to the remaining contracts—including agreements, implementation progress, payments, variation orders, and project milestones—is currently being uploaded into the system.

In addition, the ministry is moving forward with digitally managing variation orders and linking contract payments directly to project performance and milestone completion. Officials expect the new system to strengthen transparency, improve contract management, and ensure faster and more accountable execution of infrastructure projects.
