Jagdamba Motors, a subsidiary of Shanker Group, has announced plans to introduce SHACMAN heavy-duty electric commercial vehicles in Nepal.

The company is preparing to launch the SHACMAN X5000e 6×4 Electric Tractor and X5000e 6×4 Electric Dump Truck in the Nepali market. The move is set to expand the use of electric vehicles in Nepal beyond passenger and light commercial vehicles into industrial and heavy-duty applications.

The vehicles are designed for industries including logistics, construction, mining, and heavy-load transportation. The X5000e Electric Tractor is intended for commercial transportation and heavy-load hauling, while the X5000e Electric Dump Truck is designed for mining, civil construction, and off-road operations.

Both models feature SHACMAN’s electric powertrain technology. They also come with fast-charging capabilities aimed at maximizing operational uptime, along with intelligent control and battery management systems designed to support reliable performance.

The introduction of these vehicles will provide an electric alternative to diesel-powered heavy-duty trucks in Nepal. The use of locally available renewable energy could also create opportunities for expanding electric mobility in industrial transportation.
