Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank Limited (KSBBL) has provided Rs25 lakh to support rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts for people affected by the devastating Bhote Koshi River flood in Rasuwa.

The contribution was made following a decision by the bank’s Board of Directors and has been deposited into the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.

Of the total amount, Rs10 lakh has been contributed under the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, while the remaining Rs15 lakh represents the equivalent of one day’s salary contributed by the bank’s employees.

The bank said the financial support is aimed at helping address the immediate needs of affected families and communities while strengthening ongoing rescue and relief operations in the flood-hit areas.

KSBBL expressed condolences to those who lost their lives in the disaster and extended sympathy to their bereaved families. The bank also wished for the speedy recovery of those injured in the flood.

The bank acknowledged the efforts of security personnel, government and non-government agencies, local authorities, volunteers and other organisations involved in search, rescue and relief operations.

The contribution comes as relief and rehabilitation efforts continue in Rasuwa following the Bhote Koshi flood, with financial assistance from businesses and other institutions supporting the broader disaster response.
