Kathmandu Chamber of Commerce Organizes Cultural Program for Indra Jatra
The Kathmandu Chamber of Commerce organized a cultural program and Newari feast at Hanuman Dhoka, Basantapur, to mark the traditional Indra Jatra festival.
The Kathmandu Chamber of Commerce organized a special cultural program and Newari feast at Hanuman Dhoka, Basantapur, on the occasion of Indra Jatra.
The event was held on Saturday, Ashoj 10, at Twa Chhe in Hanuman Dhoka, Basantapur. The program featured the historic tradition of pulling the Kumari chariot along with various activities showcasing Newari culture and traditions.
Officials and members of the Kathmandu Chamber of Commerce, Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry President Anjan Shrestha, former Non-Resident Nepali Association President Jiba Lamichhane, and other industrialists and business representatives attended the event.
The program highlighted the cultural traditions and heritage associated with Indra Jatra and Kathmandu’s Newari community.
