Kathmandu–Dhangadhi Flight Fare Crosses Rs. 22,000, Nearly Double Delhi Fare
Domestic airfares have surged ahead of Dashain, with the one-way Kathmandu–Dhangadhi fare exceeding Rs. 22,000 for October 8, while Kathmandu–Delhi is available for around Rs. 11,700.

Airfares on domestic routes have increased as passenger demand rises ahead of the Dashain festival. Although more than a week remains before Dashain, the one-way airfare from Kathmandu to Dhangadhi has already crossed Rs. 22,000.
For October 8, Nepal Airlines has listed a one-way Kathmandu–Delhi fare at USD 76, equivalent to around Rs. 11,700 at the current exchange rate. Similarly, Biman Bangladesh Airlines has priced its one-way Kathmandu–Dhaka flight at USD 87, or approximately Rs. 13,398.
In contrast, domestic airlines have set fares above Rs. 22,000 for the Kathmandu–Dhangadhi route, which has a flight duration of around one hour. For October 8, Shree Airlines has set the one-way fare at Rs. 22,180, while Buddha Air has priced the same route at Rs. 22,179.
The current fare means that flying from Kathmandu to Dhangadhi costs nearly twice as much as flying from Kathmandu to Delhi. The sharp increase comes as travel demand rises ahead of the Dashain holiday period.
