Labour Approval Process to Be Facilitated; Applicants Urged to Apply at Least Three Days Before Departure
The Department of Foreign Employment has urged migrant workers to obtain labour approval before purchasing flight tickets or submit online applications.

The government is taking steps to facilitate the labour approval process for individuals travelling abroad for foreign employment, aiming to prevent workers from missing their flights due to delays in obtaining approval.
The Department of Foreign Employment has issued a notice urging workers to secure labour approval before purchasing their air tickets. The department said that individuals returning abroad after visiting Nepal on leave could face the risk of missing their flights if their re-entry labour approval is not completed on time.
For those who have already purchased flight tickets, the department has requested that they submit an online application for labour approval, along with all required documents, at least three days before their scheduled departure.
The department has also asked applicants who have already submitted applications for re-entry labour approval to contact the department immediately if they encounter any problems with the approval process.
To address such issues promptly, the department has designated Section Officer Suresh Shrestha as a contact person. Applicants can reach him by phone or WhatsApp at 9768998473 for assistance with labour approval-related problems.
