Last Day to Secure Dividends of Two Companies, Here Are the Bonus and Cash Dividend Rates

Today, Ashoj 8, is the last day for shareholders to secure the proposed dividends of Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited and Kalinchowk Darshan Limited. Both companies are closing their books for dividend distribution and Annual General Meeting (AGM) purposes. Therefore, shareholders whose shares are traded and maintained in NEPSE records by today will be eligible for the proposed dividends.

Kalinchowk Darshan Limited will close its books on Ashoj 9. The company has called its 12th Annual General Meeting for Ashoj 16 at German Homes Hotel, Madhyapur Thimi, Gatthaghar, Bhaktapur. The AGM will begin at 11:30 AM.

The AGM will seek approval for a special proposal to distribute an 8.5% bonus share dividend on the company's existing paid-up capital, along with a 0.4474% cash dividend for tax purposes.

The company will also present a proposal to issue 6,835,500 right shares at a predetermined 100% ratio based on the paid-up capital maintained after the distribution of bonus shares.

Other proposals include authorizing the Board of Directors to amend the company's memorandum and articles, ratifying decisions made by the Board, approving the appointment of directors and appointing an auditor.

Machhapuchchhre Bank Limited will close its books on Ashoj 12. The bank has called its 28th Annual General Meeting for Ashoj 28 at Hotel Pokhara Grand, Pardi, Pokhara. The AGM will begin at 11:00 AM.

The AGM will seek approval for a 3% bonus share dividend and a 3% cash dividend, including tax, based on the bank's existing paid-up capital.

The meeting will also consider a proposal to distribute a proportional cash dividend at the rate of 8.25% to preference shareholders on the non-redeemable cumulative preference shares, including applicable tax, up to the end of Ashadh.

The AGM will also consider authorizing the Board to amend the bank's memorandum and articles. In addition, shareholders will elect three directors representing the promoter shareholder group and one director representing the general shareholder group.

The bank will also inform the AGM about the appointment of Arjun Kumar Gautam as an independent director for a four-year term and present a proposal to appoint the auditor.
