Renowned Indian playback singer Asha Bhosle has passed away at the age of 92, marking the end of a remarkable era in Indian music.

She had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital after suffering from cardiac and respiratory complications and had reportedly been unwell for some time. In recent days, her condition deteriorated, leading to her transfer to the intensive care unit (ICU).

Her son, Anand Bhosle, confirmed her demise. The last rites are scheduled to be held tomorrow at 4 PM.

Asha Bhosle was one of the most celebrated voices in Indian music history, known for her versatility and decades-long contribution across multiple genres.
