Lingden Says Government Must Address Public Desire for Monarchy
Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Rajendra Lingden has argued that the government has a responsibility to address the aspirations of citizens who support the restoration of the monarchy in Nepal.

Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Rajendra Lingden has stated that Nepal's leadership should acknowledge and address the sentiments of citizens who favor the restoration of the monarchy.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the first national convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) in Bharatpur, Chitwan, Lingden said the recent election demonstrated that voters were seeking change beyond traditional political ideologies and organizational structures.
He claimed that some voters who support the monarchy chose to vote for RSP instead of RPP, believing that new political forces could better respond to their aspirations. According to Lingden, this creates a unique responsibility for the current leadership to understand and address those public expectations.
Lingden also warned that failing to utilize the opportunity provided by the strong public mandate could disappoint not only supporters of the party but the nation as a whole. He emphasized the importance of transforming public trust into meaningful governance and national progress.
