Mahesh Acharya Appointed to NIFRA Board as Finance Ministry Representative

Nepal Infrastructure Bank Limited (NIFRA) has appointed Mahesh Acharya as a member of its Board of Directors, representing the Ministry of Finance.

Acharya replaces Amrit Lamsal, who previously served as the ministry's representative on the bank's board.

According to NIFRA, the Ministry of Finance nominated Acharya as its representative, and the bank's 187th Board of Directors meeting, held on Asar 17, approved his appointment. The appointment came into effect on the same day.

The bank's Board of Directors is chaired by Mahesh Prasad Dahal, who serves as the independent chairman. Other board members include Mahesh Acharya, Surendra Raj Regmi, Deepak Kumar Agrawal, Dibakar Chand, Dr. Manish Thapa, and Anita Rayamajhi.

Among the board members, Acharya represents the Ministry of Finance, while Regmi represents Global IME Bank, Agrawal represents Nepal Investment Mega Bank, and Chand represents NIC Asia Bank. Dr. Thapa and Rayamajhi serve as directors representing the general public shareholders.

NIFRA stated that the appointment is part of the ministry's representation on the bank's board in accordance with its governance structure.
