Medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai was detained by police on Sunday after he allegedly attempted to organize a protest inside the premises of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu.

According to police, Prasai had arrived in Kathmandu from Jhapa and was preparing to hold a demonstration carrying posters within the airport area. A team from the Kathmandu District Police Range intervened and took him into custody before the program could proceed.

Police have not disclosed further details regarding the nature of the planned protest or any legal action to be taken against him. The incident comes as security agencies continue to maintain heightened vigilance in sensitive public areas, including the country's only international airport.
