Nabil Bank Limited has launched a skill-based financial literacy and entrepreneurship development training program targeting individuals involved in agriculture across rural Nepal.

The program began on Baisakh 9 in Sinja Rural Municipality of Jumla and is planned to expand to 16 locations within the current fiscal year.

The initiative is being conducted in collaboration with local governments across Koshi Province, Madhesh Province, Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, Karnali Province, and Sudurpashchim Province, aiming to benefit around 500 participants engaged in or aspiring to enter agricultural businesses.

According to CEO Manoj Kumar Gyawali, the training will provide practical knowledge on savings, budgeting, loan management, insurance, and investment options.

Conducted under the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the program aims to enhance financial literacy, promote entrepreneurship, and support sustainable economic growth.

Participants will also receive technical and business knowledge in areas such as goat farming, pig farming, dairy, mushroom cultivation, and vegetable farming, along with marketing and financial management skills.
